People in Egypt have been protesting in Cairo against the Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi for granting himself sweeping new powers.

Protesters said that they do not want another regime of dictatorship like that of the ousted President Hosni Mubarak whom Mohammed Mursi succeeded.

People have been demanding the Egyptian President to withdraw the president’s decree or the constitutional declaration.

The constitutional constitution says that no authority could revoke the President’s decisions.
