Germany’s Berlin Wall came down on November 09, 1989. It maybe was just a wall, a mass of concrete but it was the symbol of division in Germany as the Berlin Wall divided West and East Germany 20 years ago. Hamid Karzai was declared president of Afghanistan
Independent Election Commission declared Hamid Karzai as the elected president of Afghanistan after a runoff was cancelled. The runoff was scheduled on November 7, 2009 but was cancelled when the sole challenger former Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah withdrew from the presidential race. Children of German resistance in World War II return to Switzerland
Dozens of children of the Germans who plotted to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1944 returned this weekend to Switzerland.
