According to CNN.com today’s news, “Although the death toll is lower, the 15 million people affected are more than those affected in the 2005 Pakistan earthquakes, the 2004 Indonesia tsunami and the January earthquake in Haiti combined.”

Mia Farrow testified Naomi Campbell said Charles Taylor sent diamond

Mia Farrow has testified in court today at The Hague that model Naomi Campbell said that the ex-Liberian President Charles Taylor sent men and had given her a diamond.

The former Liberian Charles Taylor is being accused of illegally using mined diamonds and selling diamonds to secure weapons for the Revolutionary United Front (RUF) rebels of Sierra Leone during the 1991-2001 civil war.

Liberia is the oldest republic of Africa.

Those children were promised of a better life but ended up abused and forced into labor.
