After North Korea attacked South Korea’s artillery, South Korea threatens to retaliate. Two South Korean marines died.
According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, the incident was said to be “the first direct artillery attack on South Korean territory since the Korean War ended in an armistice” in 1953.
The attack was triggered by the South Korea’s military drills which according to Pyongyang a “reckless military provocation”.
